Excerpts from Mom's email:

Well this week was just awesome again! We have been so busy and have heaps to do!! When I say there is a lot to be done, I mean that! This week we found three new people that are now learning of the gospel. The most exciting news is about our friend M...! At the beginning of this week, he found out his surgery in America has been postponed. Do to this, he has decided to move his day to be baptized way ahead for December 29th. In addition, his life long friend Kyle had agreed to take the lessons and based off of what M... had taught her so far, she agreed that she would want to be baptized the same day as M..., so we would have to work fast.

Well the adversary worked fast as well... just this weekend, someone showed them material about the church that was "disconcerting" to them. He asked the Clark's to see him today to discuss what he had read. We pray that they may be able to resolve whatever it was soon. He is one that has gone through great lengths to be baptized! It seems every time there is progress, Satan always has to jump in and mess things up. I have faith M... will get out of this one fine, but I'm not sure about K.... yet.

My companion and I have been doing really well together! I have great love for this elder and even though I know his training will be finished at the end of this transfer, I hope to be with him next as well! I really hope to see his growth continue for the next few weeks because he is growing fast! His still continued to show me the way in areas I still am adjusting to such as the area and things. I think we compliment each other really well! Where I lack, he makes up for and same the other way around.

We had a lot of Christmas things going on! One night this week was the branch Christmas party which was just so awesome! I sent you a few things that hopefully you get on Google drive that might be fun to watch. Along with that I just sent a few funny night videos because I get bored at night sometimes haha.

You probably will be wondering about one of the videos about my new pants. So there are these things called Lulu lemon pants, maybe you have heard of them. Well these pants are the most comfortable pants I've ever warn in my life! Missionaries have always been talking them up to me, but in Adelaide they were $130 AUD. Too much if you ask me. However, up here I saw a great deal! Still pricey for pants, but I went for it because I can wear these the rest of my life. $70 AUD is so worth it! In America my companion bought his 3 pair for $150 American dollars!!! If you think I should get another pair, I need to fast! They are the bomb though!

Yeah the package should be fine, I don't need anything really from home haha. Let me know how much is on my card though so I can budget and things. I probably won't spend much because many of my stuff I've already got for members and in other areas. Might grab something else idk yet. There is heaps of cool stuff up here. Is there anything you guys would want? I'll send a pic of types of things there is maybe.

Hey Dad!

I sent mom mostly about this past week. For you I'll give you a heads up about this first. We have zone conference this week and we will be doing activities with President and his wife, all Christmas themed stuff so that will be fun! Then we have a Christmas booth that we will put up in this night market. You'll hear about all this next week so something to look forward to, well for me mostly haha.

We had good success this week finding 3 new people and all of them are pretty dang good! For here in Alice, 3 new is awesome! I so badly want to baptize before I go home. I've been in really tough areas recently so I haven't for a while now. I'm going for it though. If I don't, I don't, but I'm doing everything I can to make this last one count!

I had my hopes up about M... and K.... for the end of December as I talked about to mom. I'll send a pic maybe next week of us with them I just forgot. He has a really good relationship with us so even if what he heard turns him off from being baptized, I know he will still be cool with us. I'm nervous about the whole thing, but the senior couple will see him today and we probably will see him tomorrow.

I've come across a lot of anti stuff while being out, no surprise there, but what it comes down to is the Book of Mormon. M... has a super strong testimony in the so I think he will be okay.
